False Idol is a five-part installation that reconstructs Lindsay Lohan’s mugshot through processes of digital manipulation, collage, and weaving. By fragmenting and reassembling an image of celebrity, the work examines how fame is both deified and destroyed through cycles of reproduction. Blurring authenticity and artifice, False Idol invites reflection on how the mediated self becomes a site of worship, distortion, and loss.
